Our Projects
Meet Emma. A cheerful, fun-loving, and sweet 9-year old who loves building houses with LEGO. Her favourite place to eat is Boston Pizza (with vanilla ice cream for dessert!).
Emma’s wish was to have a 2-storey playhouse equipped with a hammock, a room to sleep in, a play area, and zipline. She drew us a detailed floor plan you can see in the pictures below. We started at dawn with the team, completed the base, framing, and siding under the backdrop of the rural countryside.
She had a night to camp out under the stars, then we were back on site to complete the roof and balcony.
The anticipation of Emma waiting for the last step of the ladder to be secured so she can get into her playhouse brought a smile to everyone’s face (and put a little pressure on our construction manager). Needless to say, we passed inspection.
We were honored to work with Make-A-Wish, an organization that creates wishes for children with critical illnesses, to make Emma’s wish come true and would like to thank all our partners, vendors, and donors including the Home Depot, Homeline Constructions, Boston Pizza Wye Road, Bulk Barn Emerald Hills, WEM, Sherwood Bookworm, the Brick, and all the volunteers. We have seen firsthand, the generosity and love in making Emma’s day.
